Enjoy WMC 2019 in Beaujolais to discover Lyon and the Beaujolais region. The organizing team offers 1 day of discovery of Lyon and 1 day of discovery of Beaujolais.


On the other hand, for non-gamers, you can sign up for the gala evening. Attention : for the players, the reservation is already included in the registration fees.


Look at the detail of each activity and register for the desired one online. The organizers will contact you by email in october to manage the payment.

The Organization Team wished to make your return to the airport easier, by hiring bus.
Departure at the end of price giving ceremony, at the latest at 4 PM, on Sunday 3rd november
Duration of the ride : 50 to 60 minutes
Fee : 15 € per person
Visit the Hameau Duboeuf at Romanèche Thorins, a world dedicated to the vine and wine. Spread over 30,000 m2 in the heart of Beaujolais, it reveals you in a fun and original way all the secrets of our vineyards, their origins, their locations and their techniques.
You will love its dynamic cinema, 3D films, tastings ...
A special mention for dynamic cinema, a magnificent experience aboard animated pods, where you will fly over the lush landscapes of Beaujolais and Mâconnais.
Visit typical villages of Beaujolais:
Clochemerle, or Vaux en Beaujolais is a famous hilltop village located in the heart of the Beaujolais vineyards. It owes its name to Gabriel Chevallier's famous novel, which is a tribute to earthiness, joie de vivre and good humor.

Guided tour "The Old Lyon Renaissance, its cathedral and its traboules".
This first discovery tour of the Vieux-Lyon area invites you to walk through the cobbled alleyways of the Saint Jean area, via its internal courtyards and traboules, to discover the atmosphere which is so very characteristic. Urbanized as early as the Middle Ages, the area now boasts 24 hectares of buildings mainly dating back to the 15th and 16th century, combining Gothic and Renaissance architecture.

Go back to the times of the great fairs that secured the wealth and celebrity of the city and relive the history of leading local and Italian families who left their mark here.

Lunch in a Bouchon Lyonnais (appetizer, starter, main course, cheese, dessert, coffee, drink).

Visit of the Basilica of Fourvière.
The inside of Notre-Dame of Fourvière Basilica is composed of 2 churches one upon the other, with extraordinary volumes, accessible from the square. The higher Church is dominated by 3 domes and lit by 6 stained-glass windows offering a light emphasizing a rich decor. The materials used for the building and the decoration rival in quality and beauty, white marble from Carrara, pink granite from the North of Italy, blue marble from Savoy, green onyx, silver and gold pieces, union of ebony and ivory.

Attend a weaving demonstration on an authentic Jacquard loom, immerse yourself in the epic of Lyon silk and discover how canuts have helped shape the identity of the city!

Departure 8.30 AM and return 7.30 PM to Villefranche
Fee : 80 € per person (lunch included)
Join all the players during the gala evening.
Evening in a typical Beaujolais place, with buffet of culinary specialties and surprise shows
